richbutnotquitewithit; despite the offered olive branch, you are still in that hole frantically digging yourself in deeper and deeper.

You know absolutely nothing about me whatsoever. Your attacks against me say far more about the state of your mind than anything else ;-) Perhaps that sort of behaviour gives you some sort of perverse thrill ?

"Ain't nobody messing with you but you"

It's your problem honey, only yours.
Put your psychiatrist on danger money now !

To the rest of you lovely people, maybe I'll catch up with you at my new home, you know where.
Besides, I have discovered Bit Torrent in a big way :-)

(what's so funny 'bout) Peace, love and understanding
Stephanie

Hey Stephanie,

Like RTWS I am UK resident, and I don't think we can afford to lose one of our number, particularly one who can quote Zaphod Beeblebrox so effectively. Hang in, would you leave your regular pub because one of the other customers didn't like you ? Thought not.

Hey Snori - like you I have no intentions of bailing out of this old watering hole just because one or two of the patrons act obnoxiously sometimes (been known to do it myself from time to time!). I hope Ms Boudica Brown will join us at the bar now and then.

Kind of off subject (but I will say that seeing yet another quality contributer leave their barstool and head for the pub across the street because a few drunks in the corner wont stop throwin peanuts is rather sad), but there is one quote from HHGTTG that I always thought rather apt if I were ever so lucky as to meet Jerry in the mid 80's:
"You're looking great, really very, very fat and unwell."

Dear Rob and snori,

Whilst I am deeply moved (once again in your case Rob, you are a true gentleman) by your kind words and support, let's take your pub analogy (actually I'm more of a cafe bar sort of lady) -

A lot of the clientele of said pub are now spending a lot of their time over at that nice cafe bar that Dancin' told us about. It is a very civilised atmosphere with people engaging in good conversation (actually the one of the usual suspects is conducting some wonderful threads) and friendly banter.

The fluffy decor may not to be everybody's taste, but at least it's comfy and welcoming.

Added to this, the particular type of dry rose wine that I really adore can now be obtained wholesale from Bit Torrent and in a much better quality variety too.

So I while I have popped back into this pub (which seems to be getting emptier by the day) occasionally because of the lovely people who have and still do make me welcome, I feel as if I am being stalked by a nutter.

Therefore, I feel enough is enough. At least Cliff ignores you Rob, since your disagreement (as he does me). I only have to walk through the door to get abused by the fore-mentioned fruit-cake, despite the offer of a fresh start on my part.
It's all getting a bit tedious.

Hence the chariot with knives on the wheels.

You should both try the cafe bar again. Look beyond the fluffy (and slightly kitsch) decor and give it another chance. I like it there.

BTW I had forgotten where that quote came from snori - it's about the only thing I can remember from that mad, mad radio comedy.

As ever, big hugs
Stephanie
